Soon, I have to go back

Soon, I have to go back

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Not yet,
  but the echoes are growing.

Topics,
  not pleasant.

Try to wring a bit of positivity from the gloom.

I can't always live in the sunlight.

Once in awhile,
  retreat to the shadows.

Try to mingle the light with the darkness.

Same as the shadow on a mornings sun.

Just a balance,
  on a scale,
one which is not able to decide.

:: exquisite poetry, dear philosophical turtle... :: i think that balance is very important... both light and dark make up that balance... and sometimes we just have to wait (maybe even grieve a little longer) before we return to the light... i always take my time... so i recommend the same...

a piece everyone, at some time, can relate to..
I really love your reference to shadows..because.. without light, there are no shadows..
it tells the reader..the poet has more balance than even he realizes..
"to everything there is a season" take care Dear Tortoise
