Do not choose an easy word.

Do not choose an easy word.

A Poem by Jon Roggie

If you want to keep my attention,
  choose your words wisely.

Don't try sway me with one word or phrase.

Start with one of the taboo cards,
you will need to work to convince me.

I tend to look at a person,
  combined with their actions.
Given the chance their thoughts and emotions.

So.

Drop the slurs,
  accusations,
    and preconceptions.

Life is too short,
  and dear.

Don't let it be overshadowed,
  by one word,
   or a simple belief.
