All a part of the balancing act

All a part of the balancing act

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The scales tip back and forth,
   each their own honest expression.

Examples can be commonplace,
prefer to show some true feeling.

Friend,
  too young,
   taken without warning.

In the same group of friends,
  a child is born.

Gives a reason to look forward,
  while cherishing the past.

Been to the family funeral,
followed the next day by the wedding.

Life and death will always weigh on the scales.

Best effort is to not let emotions upset the balance.

:: an extremely overwhelming piece of writing, monsieur jon... :: i often feel that life is meant to be a humbling experience... and yet it is to be lived... with the losses and the gains... always emerging... one after the other... close to each other...
