Family trait

Family trait

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I think my family and I are a bit,
  how can I say it,
    extreme?

I know this will throw a few off,
  either for work or pleasure,
    we all seem to cook.

So the sight of blood does not throw us.

Few of us in the medical field.

Some are in the emergency response field.

So, is it odd when we show simple kindness?

When we stop and help?

I think we just try and pass along life.

Something the next generation already continues.
