The Golden Rule

The Golden Rule

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Religious context aside,
it is the beginning of a simple process.

Since it seems to be a concept forgotten,
 something remembered vaguely,
   and not worth much time,
and this sentence has grown too long.

"Do to others what you want them to do to you."

Well,
 that was a touch dramatic.

Lets's see.
 Sorry about the  larger font.
Part of copy and paste.
I guess I do have to give credit to the Bible.
Last thing I want is for anyone involved to go after me.

After the disclaimers,
I think there was a point I was trying to make.

Wait a second,
 I may have it.

Don't be a pretentious a*****e!

Sorry for the rude language.

Writers write.
Pretty simple.
Look at the words.
Try and let the feeling wrap around you.
Feel them.

I find myself rambling along,
 and beg your forgiveness.

I will wander away,
  muttering to myself.

yes i liked it
It is a pretty basic fact of life, yet our comprehension of it differs depending on mood, opinion and other selfish motives. it's just amazing that we are not all muttering to ourselves...or are we?
Maybe its because you care enough to speak out, despite knowing few truly hear what we say.
Keep mutering my friend.
