You cry

You cry

A Story by Jon Roggie

I walk in a city of sorrow,
and try to share a smile.
Try to hold it back,
at least for a little awhile,
don't add to the rest of them.
It still catches you,
and for awhile you are frozen.
 you cry
And it starts over

We should all put a little more effort not to add to others unknown woes, when there is already so many and so much to do that already. It isn't always possible, but even the briefest nod and smile can make someone else's, as well asour own, a little more bearable.
Small steps lead to giant leaps, or something similarly familiar.
We can only ever truly know our own sorrow.

Each feels it in their own way. Afterwards, all you can do is try to help.
my friend is this city right now...and she walks, thinking she is alone, and yet knows that many of us are walking right beside her.
