He got his own barn

He got his own barn

A Story by Jon Roggie

Tortoise is feeling slighted.
I know.
Stumpy got a new barn.
A younger tortoise is getting preferential treatment.
In Fresno.
So,
now I have to build a better barn.
I don't know how to build a barn,
and would somebody tell me the if a tortoise barn is different?
Best bet is to stall.
"I need the spec's."
Tortoise grumbles,
  and walks away.
Back to my roses.

'He got his own barn'
Jon Roggie,
Fortunately a tortoise is very fortunate as their barn is built in place around them and fits perfectly. Talk about a perfect protection for our Mr. Tortoise. Safe too as he simply pulls in, withdraws into his perfect 'barn if he feels threatened or in danger. Yup he is created with his own home. Lucky guy! This was a really cute poem and I smiled my way all the way through.
Blessings,
Kathy

I am now wondering and picturing a tortoise barn now, when completed has comfortable recliner and tastefully decorated to tortoise's liking. No idea why my imagination is picturing a side table to place books and reading glasses when he or sheis off doing tortoisy thinks.
Who knew such wise and aged creatures were just as picky as us in our "keeping up with the Jones'" mentality 😀

He is our elder. Give him a break!
Hurt feelings. Someone is feeling neglected. I am left wondering why Stumpy is getting preferential treatment. You've got some work to do Jon to rectify the situation.

All good wishes.

Chris
