Misunderstood

I see the expression on everyone's face.
See in their eyes, waiting for me to pull the trigger.
They don't listen to the words.

It's not that I want to end my life.
I just want to step away from theirs.

I cherish every breath.
Sometimes the pain from those around me starts to overwhelm.

When I say it is time to end, I am not talking about myself.
I have had plenty of chances to take that choice.

I just want to get away.

Fade into the background.

Just to be able to look at the life around me and for one minute only enjoy the quiet.

Your words actually create the core of what the thought of wanting to end come from.
so many people become "burned out on just living and giving in this life.
" I just want to get away. Fade into the back ground." It is like a person becomes depleted of strength. We do not have the power to make things better in difficult situations for those we care for and for this messy world in general.
I get it. totally! It is good to sometimes just be alone and breathe, Just regroup and think. Pray, seek God; at least that's what I do.

Thank you. I am an introvert by nature. Many do not realize, I am able to have social contact. It just uses a lot of energy. Add in a touch of empathy, and it burns so much faster. Part of the reason I vanish from the site sometimes.
