Emotion.

Emotion.

A Poem by Juan Victor

I pray that God will give me the strength to tune out rationality,

because, if reason and consciousness deviate me from love, then

I may live with love instead.

To live with love is to drown in it, to submerge soul and life and reality

to chance and to find the only true happiness found in the

plane of human understanding.

As two souls brave the tempest of emotion, their inner selves,

twisted and blown about by the hurricane of affection and attraction.

Love is the source and the resting place of the wind.

I ask all things to be calm, all of the things that sputter around my life, I ask them to

calm down. For I cannot see what is in the orbit of my life, and these wondering things

that shadow the twinkle of the stars ruin what true radiant beauty love can shine.

I cannot control my heart, because, the heart of a man is meant to be set free,

for if it is bound by any good or evil idea, then love will be like a seed thrown on rocks.

I love to love, it is the closest thing to dying and being in heaven, to be in love is to

be free.

Love is a gift not of human form, a life its own to grow and spread through all, even the dead.
