How to love

How to love

A Poem by Juan Victor

Rest your head on my beating chest,
that beats for you.
And when the rain floods the ground,
you and I will float through the waves of change
unscathed.
Thunder and lightning strike me down when I try to reach for you
when you are so high, up above, beyond the world and me.
I will dream and enter imagination just to find a place for us
and keep us there until time comes
that we fill an empty world.
