Blackbird

Blackbird

A Poem by Jukebox
"

the beginning of a song i started writing ... i'm too mixed up to know what else to say about it. take out of it what you will

"

Holding my gui-tar is the only way I feel close to you

The only way I feel I’m on my way to knowing the truth

Turnin my lights out feelin your presence in my life

You may not be there, but I can’t see to know if you’re not

I feel like I’m fighting a battle between the two halves of me

It’s one that can never be won until you can finally see

I melt when you smile and gets lost inside your eyes

But then I can’t decipher the truth from your lies

And I’ll be singing bye bye blackbird

As you build up your house of cards and the world blows them down

I’ll be singing bye bye blackbird

The words you told me never forget

I hope you never regret

That I’m singing bye bye blackbird
