Simple Things

Simple Things

A Poem by Jules

And maybe if you listen to the heartbeat of this world,
You'll find a song so lovely through the chaos as it swirls.

If you hug a tree so tight you'll feel its soul beneath the leaves,
A love unlike no other that reminds us when to breathe.

If you stand and let the wind tuck your hair behind your ears,
A whisper rushing through you, a sound so strong and clear.

If you wade into the ocean and feel the kiss of every wave,
A feeling quite exotic that will make you want to stay.

If you take a single moment and feel the warmth from the sun's light,
Take a look around you and enjoy the simple things in life.

A good message. A straightforward, but enjoyable write.

I love your poem. The word play and the stanzas are great. Your words made my skin feel the different sensations you wrote about.

Well done.
