SheA Poem by Julie HigginbottomI wrote this after seeing the movie "To The Bone".
the opposition of a sunken face and a set of protruding bones.
an absolute travesty in pale skin. just eat, they say. just die, they say. make up your mind, She pleads. as She gazes down at that intimidating plate of death, She runs. She runs to insecurities and the hatred of Her own self-loathing. after all, if She truly loved Herself, how could She let this begin. and how could She let this end. © 2017 Julie Higginbottom |
