I see red

I see red

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)

Red hot peppers
Red red wine
Red moist juice of a strawberry
On its vine up it climbs
Red sweet tomato burst
That quenches all our thirst
Red traffics light halts me
So I don't collide
Red fire truck and all them handsomeness that travels inside
Red ink to stand out firm
On documents in turn
Red babies newborn face
A miracle of life from up above
Red garnets and rubies from our Mother Earth garden to treasure
Forever
Red shiny lips to tempt her man
And don't be shy
Red faces glowing warm
With temperatures so high
Red fire danger lurks
As smoke it rises
Red dust in outback scene
Kicks up to noon day sky
Red apple flavour almost so good
It nearly hurts
Red heart that's just romance
In a card or love letter there
So sweet

Red blood at journeys end
Black umbrellas in straight line at funeral of one
That they lost there
A blessed friend
Red eyes that hide behind
Those black glasses
In that so unmerry month
Of sweet old cherry blooming
Month of may

"...Red fire truck and all them handsomeness " Lawdt! Seen a few calendars, myself.
First it was black with red heart, now you have red with black glasses. This is genius. I think I'm a true fan...
