You lay faded
In some album
In some bottom drawer
Obsolete no
Dead yes
But alive to me
Again as I zoom in
On that pic
From the seventies
You are in my phone
Forever now
Etched in pixels
Of colour
From heaven
its amazing how magical photos can be ...in the first part i was reminded so much of sitting and looking through my parents and grandparents albums .. the pages made from that thick paper that over time feels as it will crumble to the touch..and all those black and whites held by those corner sticky things ... i miss all those people in my family .. its a sweet sorrow tho for sure ... i have never been much for taking pics meself but i was burning up my youth in the 60s and 70s ...so have many pics in me noodle as i read those lines ..enjoyed reading ... wouldn't change a thing

I have a few picture albums put away. Sometime I open. Like your poem. The photos are road trips back to a different time and place. I enjoyed your thoughts in the poetry. Thank you Julie for sharing the amazing poetry.

I like this. I got pulled into it and could see this. How many of us have old photos that we have laying around that bring back memories of people from long ago like it was just yesterday. Bravo.
i have an old photograph album i have been looking at lately...all old black and whites of family members.
most gone...but never forgotten.
thank you for this poem..
