![]() Hickle de pickledy bagA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)![]() Trying to work on this before sleep 💤 Inspired by barley girl poem re coffee mugs![]() Crumpled up post it notes
I found them tonight
Stuffed in my glasses case Notes and home made rhymes
I wrote in past haste
Jotted some other forgotten day
I see a coffee stain on one
Spilt at work Yes (My other home. ) Probably find more notes
Tomorrow as I clean out my bag
Menus and shopping dockets And fresh chewed Apple core
Chewing gum wrapper with minty smells I adore favourite cafes cardds with stamps That I order de caff skim no sugar
If you please
My purse in there somewhere Ever empty indeed What else can I find ?
A fork from a tuna salad
Only ate yesterday
Just needs a wipe with quick spray
And it’s good to go My bag yes it’s heavy indeed No Not with money or gold
But with life in itself
It’s me in a nutshell My disorganised self
A mirror that cracks
A tote of oneself
