![]() school loversA Story by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)![]() fiction made up but romantic.![]() There they stood as thousands had up the aisle as one down the aisle newly wed as two but one if you know what i mean He was her first and only love he knew he loved her from the time he saw her in 6th grade way back with her giggly freckles and little 6inch plaits of golden brown hair they were friends good friends played monopoly cluedo cards hide and seek their parents watched they approved over tea and biscuits then then high school came they still friends but then one night at a school formal you know she looked so lovely in her pink sheer dress her hair all up her earings gold her mothers necklace that she told he walked her home she knew he had changed he began to stutter stand at her gate ill see you tomorrow ok said she she turned to go he held her hand they locked eyes two 16 year olds the rest is history he loved her then she loved him back no one knew when it changed but they did they knew it was that night he first kissed her at her garden gate the jasmin scent the roses bent the moon up high the starry sky the years went on they were the item of that senior high school year they never stopped to think that there would be any other that they would marry it was almost expected the day they married they knew their vows their mums had showed them when and how all was good till there he stood he began to stutter lose his voice till he saw her come down the aisle she was dressed as an angel white in gown of satin virgin white the years went slowly but quickly by they had their kids one by one so 4 they had all grown up and one still a lad so the motto of this story is if you know true love hold on to it fast no matter how young you are your love will last that giggly freckled blue eyed girl with the little winsome curl he loved her then aged only ten or twelve she knew she would marry him one day and that was true alright she just didnt know when or how but she looks down on photo albums now a tear in eye her kids all gone have left her nest and in that urn on the piano now lies her husband her soul mate she loved the best shes glad that she knew him when he was just a lad of ten she has the pictures of him and her way back then life is hard life is cruel but she loved her boy her man she met at school
