![]() the music the bonfire the beach and the pocket watchA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)![]() trying a new style![]() pocket watch tell the time days of old stories told sitting round the bonfire at night on that beach on native shores bonfire lights up the sky people move closer sometimes shy some may dance the music starts the moonlit sky it fades away the bonfire chants music take my love and me to the place where we were young and free to that white sand beach on native shore show me the time oh stopwatch tell me more! the ashes of that bonfire they swiftly long ago got washed away the pocket watch has long been sold to some old guy the music stays on my records here i play i close my eyes i feel the roar of fire I can hold that watch and here in minds own eyes Ill surely dance again with thee
