sunday morning coming round

sunday morning coming round

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)
"

true to my life as I speak now

"
i woke with a start
that bird he spoke
its 6.30 am sunday morn
i gave a yawn
my dog he roams
from under bed to
door thats closed
i creakily with bones that shake
make my way to backdoor
for my  beloved dogs sake
ive had my boiled eggs with
strips of toast
now time to sit on recliner
and just write again
oh such is life
oh beauty whims
the housework can wait
the lawns ok
the washing sits patient
on laundry floor
let me just write one more
piece
before i think of chores and such
what is life without a few
ditties poems under our belt eh?
ill just put the kettle on to boil
and have 3 more
thats fair
i feel
Now its time to put this laptop away
and make my way throughout this day
this sunday when im meant to rest
now i have to catch up on forgotten housework
thats my real test yet
to do such work that I just do
DETEST
