![]() UnapologeticA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)
The words
Hung Dry Out on the line Hung for all to see She’d said her piece They rolled their eyes Not again They thought Uncomfortable silence Brittle air Like hot toffee burning Their silenced tongues Their eyes wild Biting at their spit In disbelief But She stood her ground Breasts puffed out to them They walked away She sure had grown some b…s ! I want what she had for last nights dessert one thought to herself smiling Proud of her once shy demure doormat friend It’s too late She won’t take us back Now Unless we apologise! Or will she ? Probably not Let’s go They scuttled away like Vermin She turned to the Ocean and ran To it Was alone but happy Strong © 2022 Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)Reviews
