Blind love

Blind love

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)

He knew
She was there
He didn’t have to see
He smelt her lavender
Knowing she dabbed it
Every morning noon night

He felt her smile
Her teeth felt white
Her lips probably colour of rose
As he kissed their softness
His desire leaped to infinity

He knew her skin
Soft as a newborn
As he caressed her body
Each lucky day

So you see my friend
He didn’t need to see her
As much as he
Knew her better

Much much closer
And in depth
Knew her mind body soul spirit
Much much more greater
Than any seeing man would admire her
From afar

So that my friend is not
Blind love
It’s the all seeing
Blind man
Who knows love
Like no other

Indeed, perhaps the sighted may tend to make judgments quickly, based on the evidence of a single sense. Those who have to work for it, however, may learn more and appreciate it more.

Thanks I much appreciate your notes in this
A wonderful poem dear Julie. We don't need our eyes to know what love can be. We can feel in our heart and our mind first. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
