                              The Finality

They had nothing to say to each other.......... the deed was done. It was April 1, 2004, and probably the worst day in his life. He sat staring at the judge during the trial, and knew it was over. This time she had gone to far. He heard the judge hand down the sentence. After asking the defendant to rise, he said   “ Andrea Jones- I give you two life sentences for committing this heinous crime of murder!” Normally a person was given one, but Andrea got two life sentences.

After the trial was over, John went to the prison to visit. Since this would the last time he would see her, he wanted to say goodbye. But when he walked in and saw her- the words wouldn't come. She knew how he felt, and he didn't need to say a word.

The guard said, “You have 30 minutes to talk with Andrea!”

John said “ Ok, thank you.”

John watched her eyes as he walked to the table, never moving his gaze off her he sat down. He couldn't say anything, he couldn't bring himself to ask her why either. But he knew, and deep down he couldn't blame her for doing it.

He figured this was the only way she could keep Sheila away from her man. John knew he would always belong to Andrea, even with her locked up in this cage!

She gave him her devilish grin as her eyes pierced his thoughts. In her own way she was telling him “ you will never cheat on me with that b***h again!”

He felt a cold breeze blow over him as he sat there. Tears began to stream down his face. It was his fault she was behind bars, even though she had killed Sheila. But it wasn't just the fact she killed her, it was for the way she did it. Andrea had tortured Sheila for several days, maybe for the way she felt each time she knew John had cheated on her.

He recalled her saying once, “ desperate times call for desperate measures!” He guessed this is what she meant by that saying. As he sat there so wanting to say 'I'm sorry', the guard opened the door and said, “Times up, John!”
