Frozen Memories ( contributors; Q and eye)

Frozen Memories ( contributors; Q and eye)

A Poem by Vincent Makhathini

There's fire in my crown;
Dead thoughts have been cremated
With my rib cage frozen with memories
I recall the memoirs my heart wrote
Wrought by the incessant thoughts about my unhappy childhood
Tainted, painted with the scarring color of pain;
the canvas sheds it's tears...
Mutilated eye picture black
my vision is blurry but i walk, overcoming my fears
My senses are broken
wounded by the remaining shards my feet bleed but I can't feel
Reluctant
The journey is paining but by painting with the blood on my feet the path of kings is clear
Blood baths
Thoughts dead and laid to rest on holy scriptures
Knights spent trying to expand the kingdom
Our manes grew
And our roars reach the edge of the concrete jungle
Preying so we'll be kings around round tables telling fables till the end of time
