Forgive, but never forget

Forgive, but never forget

A Poem by "Mare Booskie"

The words that can not be unsaid
 Still linger in my mind
 They repeat themselves
 Each time hurting more fiercely
The actions of my loved one
Still play over in my heart
As I'm unable to believe them
 No tears can fix this
And time will not heal us
 We go our separate ways
 With our past locked shut
 Our memories will fade
In hopes that I'll miss you less
 And as the time passes
 I know I will forgive
 But I will never forget

The harsh reality of breaking up, you don't forget the hurt, or words said and you go separate ways, but
it can shape future relationships ..........
Such a sad piece...........
