a waiting spirit

a waiting spirit

A Poem by Justice

I feel the winds blowing and the cold air going

My heart should be grieving from all of this leaving

Going from this world silently, oh so quietly

Not a tear escapes my eye, do you know why?

Why I don’t cry when death leaves its touch?

I don’t believe that death keeps us down

It only keeps us away until that final day

When I cross from this world to join them

Why grieve for those in another place

I know they are gone, but it won’t be long

Until I join their never ending song
