Footprints within a Puddle

Footprints within a Puddle

A Poem by Justin
"

An attempt at a poem that might be a little more sweet instead of dark.

"

Splashing through reflective pools,

Laughing into the face of howling winds.

The years we always spent playing the fools,

No dark clouds could even shatter the grins.

Thoughts of the future thrown up to oblivion,

Worries of responsibilities carelessly cast aside.

Those years always passed by so damn fast.

Where did the time go?

Where did the time hide?

Flashing by as quickly as a footprint within a puddle.

Regrets fleeting in clouds of forgotten events,

Time heals all wounds and gives way to repent....

Rain sets the stage for the sun's radiant light,

Rainbows casting a decorative backdrop to our joy.

Never has the time seemed to be so wondrously bright,

Pushing forward within a gleefully reckless ploy.

Thoughts of the future thrown up to oblivion,

Worries of responsibilities carelessly cast aside.

Those years always passed by so damn fast.

Where did the time go?

Where did the time hide?

Flashing by as quickly as a footprint within a puddle....

I simply love some of the lines in this, beautifully reflective.

No judgment, I think there's something here. Try using different words. And proof read outloud with an audience. But really this is very nice, I enjoyed "no dark clouds could shatter our grins.."
