A Poem by john alan willox

your memory

ate me like a date,

on a calendar without a year,

in a time best left forgotten.

i have no idea why my alzheimers

doesn't work with you.

" a calendar without a year" - I really like that; it could be as recently as last year or as far away as the very beginning

Selective Alzheimer's - that would be a gift... Great metaphor; I like the short and to the point style here.

very clever finish...but i forget the beginning of the poem,,,,===:)

of all the things we want to forget, some memories just won't let go...

the good ones get fuzzy, the bad ones still hurt clearly.
