I’m STAGE 4

I’m STAGE 4

A Poem by bediako
"

struggles are soo real..

"
The clock is ticking in on me
Every breath taken amputates a part of me

There was no pressure initially,
just abnormally thoughtful
That was carcinoma in situ
You would say potentially,
I was Harmlessly powerful.
How could I’ve fought the wind ?

There came stage 1
Actions were localized
As if they could be easily ostracized
Yet the impact were generalized
Progress was at once initialized.
How could I’ve smashed the mountains ?

So stage 2 became reality
No conscience in deeds
And positive growth seemed immoral
Corruption in its entirety.
How could I’ve buried the ocean?

Stage 3 was inevitable
Salvaging options were unthinkable
Spiritual Chemo or biblical radiation!
None was improbable.

Now I’m stage 4
How could I’ve escaped the light?

So sad. My sister-in-law had stage 4 bowel cancer just over two years ago, but she not only survived, she has now been declared all clear, which is very good news. Good luck with your progress. A poignant and well-written poem!
