The World: A Work in Progress

The World: A Work in Progress

A Poem by Kacie Simpson

I walk down the street

and try to wonder who they are.

Who are all these people?

And are they just as bizarre?

I'm pretty crazy;

I mean no harm,

but who are all these people?

Should I be alarmed?

You see the problem with people today

is we have no trust;

you see all the news

and you're filled with disgust.

People are mean to others;

this world is a horrible place.

What happened to the love?

We are all such a disgrace.

So respect your neighbor;

respect strangers too,

because without respect

our whole world becomes taboo.

Learn to practice love,

and love you shall receive,

and once the world has love

world peace can be achieved.
