Like Summer

Like Summer

A Poem by Kaela Craven

You rubbed against me like summer
The way the sun heats up
While I am unprepared
In a still-Christmas sweater
I listened to the songs
When you were gone
From a deep dream -
A hibernation without you
Waiting for your return
And then there you were again
There you were -
Rubbing against me
Like summer
