Love Lights the Sky

Love Lights the Sky

A Poem by K. L. Sunrise

"I've seen an angel once!" A fellow sinner says,
"She had the most glorius eyes,
And the most sun-shiny red blooming across her cheeks.
I saw her once in the manger,
A god-given gift sprawled across her arms,
Glittering in my veiw.
She stayed there, day and night looking at that child,
He never made that woman frown, no, not even when he was loud.
But the thing I remember most of all, was the smile across her face.
The smile that made sinners crawl, through thorns and other's hate.
You may choose to beleive me, you may choose to berate,
But God! Those eyes!
The sun should be ashamed!"
