Elise

Elise

A Poem by Kali

Elise.

Your name is an emblem, imprinted on the tapestry of my life.
Are you foreign to me? No, my disheveled joy knows you well.
Do I love you? You are too good to be true, therefore you being evil is the only thing I am capable of comprehending.
You prance along my side, and others know your name.
You are not childish, yet you are the color yellow. A color that slips and deceives, promises sun yet provides thunder, appears so rich yet your depth is skin deep.
You improvise my lines and steal the show and after, my heart.
Oh Elise,
Is it foolish of me to praise my own mind? For you are the masterpiece of my imagination.

Although a shorter write, this piece is bodacious in its ability to grasp my weak attention span and impress me with its power. Very nice.
