Unreasoned Pleasing

Unreasoned Pleasing

A Poem by Clara Kevie

For whatever reason,

You make me so uncomfortable

You are pleasing

To a failing sense of control

Let me talk

To you and talk real well

(Let’s) go for a walk

With you… if I could.

Please let me look

At you and don’t notice that I

(I’ve) been reading books

So that I can analyze

Make my brain hurt

With what I’ve learnt

And don’t you stop

Being you

I won’t give up

Staying true

What’s a game

Without pain
