Not Knowing

Not Knowing

A Poem by Clara Kevie

Not knowing is painful for sure
But knowing for sure can be painful, too
Waiting forever for the cure
But never looking somewhere new

Complaining because of not knowing
But not researching  the solution
Not looking it up, because growing
As a person would entail a resolution.

Knowing would come with a definite;
Not knowing is a more prolonged distress,
It's less of a pain if I am hesitant;
Imagine the pain from a bandage undressed.

No. Absolutely not. Comfort is familiarity.
An open wound can breathe, but it bleeds
Although new and wonderful it might be,
Unless it gets the kind of attention it needs,
It holds the possibility for destroying me.
I   can   feel   my   starving     ignorance     as    it    feeds.
