Reflection

I guess I was mistaken.

Life is nothing but a scheme.

Reality and perception nothing

but a dream.

I've been the foil of many a fine jest,

but life has been the cruelest and longest

trying test.

I hate the person that I am; dismissed,

alone

and sad,

begging for redemption,

but there is none at hand.
