It was a glorious evening. The lamps were lit; balls of white fluff fell from the sky; and coloured lights decorated the bare trees. She had been cooped up in her apartment too long. And this walk, beneath the stars in mid-winter, was the perfect cure. Ear muffs warming her ears, nose dug into her thick red scarf, and mitted hands in the pockets of her big red coat, she was on her way to a coffee shop. She loved coffee shops. She loved the idea of coffee but not the taste. It was much too bitter, so hot chocolate sufficed. Such an evening was beautiful in her eyes. And to walk under the stars in such warmth amidst the cold, she loved more than she could say.

I love to read, write, draw, drink tea, and pet cats. Fanfiction shaped my writing before I was immersed in 1800s literature. I value both types of fiction immeasurably. more..
