A feeling of the depressed

I used to be so depressed and this is a poem I wrote at that time.

We sing for joy to swallow bigger emotions

We pretend of fake feelings

We cry hoping for comfort

And yet the truth is blanked out

We dream, We sing, we laugh to avoid anything

For some, it backfires to bigger messes.

Honestly, it's nice, thanks for sharing it. It perfectly describes how feeling depressed is, although I've never had it, but I knew some like that, acting as if everything is alright but deep inside you or "that" person is hurting. I hope you're alright now :)
