like veins of disease.

 

Contagious  toxic virus

attacking nervous systems

without supervision

watching for failure of shallow breath

heaving mental illness into the bloodstream.

 

Tainting its strength

to fight off verbal bacteria

that congests the lungs

closing off arteries to the heart

tries  to beat on with life

keeping stability in a world of doubt.
