TOUCH THE SKY

TOUCH THE SKY

A Poem by Kim
"

The rise and fall of someone with Bipolar

"

Whirling, Twirling, round and round

Remember the swirl of the merry go round?

Long winding roads to a place far away

Oh the joy, oh the fun, oh the potters clay

Feeling so high you could touch the sky

Going and going no time to stop

Dust mop, a can of pop, and a trip to the shop

The energy is grand, like a big bass band

Sleep does not come, even when you try

What have I become? What have I done?

Let's get on a plane, and say goodbye

Let's have some fun, let's see the hot sun

What's going on? What is your problem?

Why are you screaming? What are you doing?

Leave them alone, they did nothing to you

Go Take a hike, go get on your bike

Crash and burn, I knew that would be

Have to come down, your the talk of the town

Your not very well, you are just a shell

Dark room, soft music, your blanket and bed

Is where you need to be for a while

A hard subject to touch... and interesting to read. I liked how you used the swirl of the merry-go-round as a metaphor for euphoric feelings. I did notice some grammatical errors, mainly that you use your instead of you're in the last stanza.

I like to escape into the world of my mind which then allows the scribblings of reflection to flow. I write what I feel and what comes to mind. Some are silly, some are dark, some are good and som.. more..
