The words that got away

The words that got away

A Poem by Kaitlyn Renee

Every time I prepare to write, the words I wish to print rush through my mind at astounding speeds, beautifully and in perfect context, escape through some black hole in the back of my head, and are sucked off into the fortress that houses writer’s block and all forgotten words.

And all that’s left for me to compose are the loose ends, the grammatically disgraceable phrases, and words and ideas that only truly make sense to me.

I would recommend using a tape recorder and trying to voice your imagination hopefully one day you can capture your art in glimpse and pieces and piece it together yourself
