Talk to me

Talk to me

A Poem by Katie A. Davis

A day spent away from home

I wonder if you’re leaving

A day spent away from the phone

I wonder if you think of me

A day spent without you in my life

Is a day spent empty

A day spent realizing this

Is a day I ask, "What’s wrong with me?!"

Why do I think of you so often?

Why do I miss you this much?

How can you read my moods so easily?

Why can’t you see me?

Why can’t we talk about this?

What are you afraid of?

your use of questions is very clever. I like how you rhyme with out rhyming, and how everything flows so fluently... (im not sure that last sentence made much sense, sorry). very nicely thought out. i can see myself in this piece, you can capture the hearts of many in this poem.. nice job.
