Moon and Fire

Moon and Fire

A Poem by PastelStylus
"

Singular poem from one of my old collections; I found it while looking through documents on my laptop ^-^ Poems are difficult to write descriptions for. Enjoy!

"

If only

We,

Together,

Could set the sky on fire

With our weeping,

And our longing kisses

If only we could take

The moon

As our own

And claim what is above us

So we could control how long we could watch the stars

And the clouds

Finding shapes that weren’t there before

If only we could end

What we would actually call the end

Of the screaming

Of the arguing

But

Alas,

It is not possible in our realm

For we are mortal

And we are weak

And the moon and fire will forever taunt us

Because we will forever lie below a sky that will end all too soon
