The "Bad" One Of The Family

The "Bad" One Of The Family

A Poem by Kaotic Barbie
"

Very true, un-happy feelings that are really urking me right now.

"

You break every single part of me
When you say those things
We grew up together, as a family
jumped on the same bedsprings.

When we were little we would sing
into the video recorder mom held
Now you don't have the time to call
You don't even act the least bit impelled.

So what i made a sorry mistake
Which wasn't a big deal at all
You just feel the need to shut me out
and hold me to my own pitfall.

You didn't see the happiness i had
Seeing you and your family for once
But all that doesn't matter because
I took a few drinks too long a distance.

You dont care about the feelings i have
You only care about your own
Yeah, so what this side is fucked up
But don't treat me like another drone.

I love you and your family
Dont you get it?
You just listen to the people on your side
Go ahead and admit it.

Thats fine i'll just be like mom
And not talk to you at all
Because no matter what happens,
To you,i'm always going to fall.

The resentment and hatred in this poem is almost too much. This poem makes me mad in the way that I know exactly where you are coming from. There is always someone in the family ready to judge what everybody else is doing, but what they really need to do is get in front of the mirror. I love it how you expressed the fluidity of your emotions in the poetic prose as well, it seems to make things easier to bare in the long run. You're channeling those negative feeling into something that may fuel it, but re-adapts it into something good.

It's been a long time since I have given a review for lack of finding something astonishing to me. But the simplicity all the sudden being drowned out in this poem definitely calls for an applaud. This is a very raw.
