A Red Overcoming

A Red Overcoming

A Poem by Little Miss Obvious

Slit my wrists
Black my eyes
Help me out
And take my life

Shine a light
Show the way
Teach me how
The pain goes away

Kiss my wrists
Set me free
Slit my wrists
And let me be

Love me or hate
It doesn’t matter anyway
Because in the end
It all hurts the same

Little Miss Obvious
I lost my old account
I don't remember if this was on it

I found the last few lines very profound. Love can tear us apart so brutally at times, and can be more than hates equal. But to avoid the rose for the thorns below see's us miss so much in life

I don't think it's supposed to be about love or hate. I think it's about those who are willing and able to listen and offer up idea's to help keep the pain away. =)
A powerful and very real poem. =)
