Stardust

Stardust

A Poem by Kayla Doto
"

A love poem about the mystery of what causes two people to become soulmates

"
How is it possible to love one person this much?
Why is it
That out of every person in the world,
The one I adore most
Is you?
What makes it that way?
Chemistry...
Personality...
The soul.
Everything
Including the soul
Is made of stardust
That once burned in a living
Burning
Star.
So,
Perhaps
My soul mate's soul comes from the same star as mine.
How rare this is:
when the matter that makes up my right hand
comes from a different star than that of my left.
Wouldn't it be amazing
If two souls
Came from one star?
If somehow two souls are meant to be one,
what would determine that?
I think it comes down to stardust...
And his and mine are the same.

I love this, presented in a beautiful way. It speaks emotions all over it.

Stardust !
Stardust must be important. When I had a band (group) years ago, people requested
their favorite songs and we would play them. Stardust was the most frequently
requested song--- I believe it was written by Hoagy Carmichael--- befor e your time.
Strangely, Stardust , then, had much the same meaning as your poem today.
Our stars may be in a different place in the heavens , but they burn for us the same.

Thank you for the loan of your poem, my old song.

About
I just write about whatever I feel like. Some days it's poetry, some days it's just a thought on something going on in the world, or even responses to something else I've read. Writing is something th.. more..
