Cry Again Tonight

It's about a friend of mine, I wrote in seventh grade.

She wakes from yet another horrid dream
And wipes her bloodshot eyes
Knowing deep inside her heart that she will cry again tonight
She feels lost and alone
Her heart filled with sadness,
Her life filled with fear.
She can’t forget all her terrible memories,
Her parents always fighting,
Her life is always changing.
She keeps her feelings bottled up,
Unknown to the world
But every night she cries,
For every love she has lost
For every one who has betrayed her,
For every happy moment she will never get to have.
She is always worrying,
About bad news from a dream,
Her premonitions trouble her
They’re always coming true.
Horrid memories fill her past,
And bad news for her future.
She feels lost, scared and alone.
She continues to live her life,
Her sadness unknown to the world today,
Only to cry again tonight.
