The Sidewalk

The Sidewalk

A Poem by TheKaylaPup
"

a poem about the seasons, and my sidewalk.

"

Walking down this sidewalk

On a sunny springtime day,

In the summer sunlight,

You’ll roast along the way.

In fall the leaves change color,

And blow across your path,

Winter storms are trouble,

Snow shoveling will break your back.

All these things you’ll see

On the sidewalk through the year,

All these things you’d miss

If the sidewalk wasn’t here.

Oh I used to love to play with sidewalk chalk!
Neat expression to write on the walk way!
"Ack, snow shovels!"

Hm...
In the first sentence you say that it's a springtime day with summer sunlight.
That baffles me, but probably because I'm taking it quite literally. I liked the piece, simple and sweet.
