Broke up with my ex...

When you said Forever

I thought of tomorrow.

When you said Together

I thought of you and her.

When you said I love you

I thought 'I hate you.'

When you said be mine

I thought of all the things about you that sickened me.

 

And I didn't realize 'til now, what I meant

 

When I though of tomorrw, I thought of the tomorrow I would have with you.

When I thought of you and her, I was thinking of you and me.

When I thought of why I hate you, it's because you made me love you.

When I thought of all the things about you that sickened me, I thought of how much they mattered to me.

 

I thought and I acted.

And I got you...

But for some reason, I was not enough...
