Nowhere To Hide

Nowhere To Hide

A Poem by Kaylee Marlin

I walk this world in the day,

To stay away from the night,

Afraid of what would come my way,

When the darkness swallows the light.

When you’re coming for me,

I run for my life,

And all I can see,

Is that you’re holding a knife.

You stab me in the heart,

And all that I could feel,

Is that we were being pulled apart,

By a pain so real.

It’s hard not to cry,

While we’re lying side-by-side,

It’s truly a cruel way to die,

When there’s nowhere to hide.

An extraordinary poem that visualizes a sad tale of fear and sorrow beautifully.

I don't talk very much. I am a quiet person when I'm around people I don't know or don't like. There's very few people I feel comfortable talking to. I don't like my dad at all. My mom and I are on un.. more..
