His child

His child

A Poem by Kaylee

Careful, child, the flame will spread.

Your ocean eyes are swollen red.

Your muffled screams are swallowed by the sky.

Distance, child, the world is mad.

People lose what they never had.

As you grow, you'll stop asking why.

Tomorrow waves, but we are blind.

Vision blurs with hopeless minds.

Tiny child, your hands can't reach the wheel.

Darkness cloaks the small escape.

Weary smiles forfeit their shape.

Lonely child, they don't care how you feel.

But you are His child; He is here.

If you just let go, then He will steer.

He pieces together the pieces of your heart.

Approach the light; open your eyes.

Accept all that you realize.

Smile, child, for you are His work of art.

Beautiful poem @ God and how we wish we could shield the children from the dangers of this world. Thank you for sharing.
